Oblumi Tapp

Oblumi Tapp is a connected medical device that turns the smartphone into a precision digital infrared thermometer. Conceived as an end-to-end solution, it combines dedicated hardware, a mobile application, and a cloud environment to bring measurement, record-keeping, and follow-up into a single product experience.

Its value does not lie in the sensor alone, but in the complete architecture that structures the system. The solution enables temperature measurement on the forehead, in the ear, and in liquids, while providing access to historical records through the app and web platform, information sharing, and additional functions such as alarms, notifications, and treatment-follow-up support.

The project also progressed towards a configuration ready for manufacturing and regulatory validation, incorporating electronic redesign, PCB optimisation, adaptation to a professional mould, and the development of dedicated assembly tooling. This was complemented by the technical and documentary work required for medical device certification, reinforcing its solidity as a connected product with real-world healthcare application.
